"5/5 stars! My dog was having a lot of anxiety at the appointment and the staff was very quick to notice and get us into a room. I appreciate how professional they were when it came to handling the situation and to take the time to get to know my pup a little better to make things easier for him."
"Waiting time is short. Phones are being answered promptly. Went for a happy visit and the staff went beyond. 2 of them came out from the clinic and greeted our dogs; gave them treats and toured the place for a positive vet clinic visit."
"This review is specifically for Sydney Castleton, DVM at the Banfield at SE 172nd Ave in Happy Valley. Although I have been with Banfield Pet hospital 25+ years and feel I have gotten excellent pet services over the years with many locations. Last year due to scheduling, I ended up going to the SE 172nd location. The vet I saw was so compassionate and had such a great bedside manner, that I have since transferred my pets file to her. It's worth the extra drive, to me."
"Really disappointing experience. Brought our dog in with anxiety issues, we were told not to come to the back while they did an exam. Sure that’s fine. Vet spent about 2 minutes doing an “exam” the tech came out and told us our dog was fat and needs training. They said here’s some trazadone (he’s allergic). We requested to speak with the vet but apparently she was in surgery and couldn’t see us during our scheduled appointment time? The original appointment was supposed to be several hours where they would observe him and assess his anxiety levels but they claimed they couldn’t hold him because he had too much anxiety? That’s what the appointment was for! Of course he has high anxiety. Anyway we are done giving banfield our business, pretty much an assembly line at this point. Oh and they charged us $75 for 2 minutes. Please go to any other reputable vet in the area there are lots of great small clinics in Portland that don’t treat you like a number."
"Don't be freaked out by the lack of reviews! This is a brand new location but it's staffed by knowledgeable and caring Banfield employees. The facilities are beautiful and clean with a nice modern aesthetic. They were amazingly patient and caring with my White Shepherd, Ghost, when he was nervous and uncertain. Putting both me and him at ease until he was rubbing his face into their hands and saying hello. Our appointment was quick, full of information, and I felt confident when I left he received the best care possible. Even if he did end up with a goofy haircut due to his head injury! Special shout out to Dr. Castleton, and their techs, Alina & Cristi, for the wonderful service. If I lived closer this would 100% be my go-to vet instead of an emergency stop!"
