"They signed me up for a plan I didn't approve. I thought we were all on the same page when I left that day but apparently they will change the terms afterwards. I've been trying to resolve this with hardly any response and empty promises, while being sent to this and that department with no resolution. It may seem like something so little to them but it money that you need to live and those dollars count. Im being disregarded and brushed off and im not sure if its like this at every location but thats the case for this one."
"We're new to the Puyallup area and we took our Cat to Banfield for an eye issue. The veterinarian basically refused to do any meaningful exam to my cat's eye because she and her assistant seemed to be afraid of trying to hold or "subdue" the cat and seemed to want me to do the job I believe they were trained to do. $180 for nothing. Will never go back there!"
"WARNING!!! NEVER HAS APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE! DO NOT BUY A WELLNESS PLAN!!! I've had wellness plans for my dogs for years yet every time I call to schedule an appointment, THEY NEVER HAVE APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE within a reasonable amount of time! Wellness Plans are advertised as having "UNLIMITED APPOINTMENTS"! That simply is not true. When your sick or injured, it's just common sense you don't wait a week to go to the Dr. I have a great deal of experience w/these locations & Banfield rarely has appointments available within a reasonable amount of time for sick or injured pets. It's been this way at these exact Banfield locations (every local location) for many years now.. This is a very long term problem with these locations. It's never changed. They'll tell you to call other locations yet they're always booked out too far as well."
"BEWARE: Absolutely horrific experience at this Banfield location this morning. My dog moo, a member of my family, suddenly had a terminal illness. We have went to this location for years with Moo for all of her check ups and treatments. She was a wellness member for her entire life. We trusted them to put her out of her misery in the best way possible. This couldn't have been further from reality. After checking in to the hospital we were quickly sent to the available room. Immediately the vet tech requested payment before my family could even get settled in. After the payment was completed my family waited in the room for thirty minutes while moo struggled to get breaths. Moo was suffering in the room as we awaited the doctor to put her out of her misery. The entire time the staff in the lobby was laughing and giggling, not giving a care in the world for the loss of a family member only a few doors down. Eventually I had had enough of the disrespect, and I left the room to speak with the front desk staff. The worker said "Oh, they haven't helped you yet?". She then asked if I was there for my other dogs flea medication. Banfield forgot about us. There was no one else in the lobby. After this encounter the Dr finally arrived. After the euthanasia we awaited a box to put Moo in as we planned to hold our own burial as opposed to cremation. The original technician who demanded payment earlier, promised a box in the following minutes. To add insult to injury, prior to this she misgendered our dog several times, even after we corrected her. An additional 20 minutes passed by with my family having nothing to do besides to look at the corpse of our dog. Multiple times we went into the lobby to request updates, and were ignored by workers who would rather be on the phone, or who were hiding in the back. Eventually this experience became far too traumatizing and my family had to leave. My wife had to carry Moo out in a blanket, that we provided, out of the store. Coincidentally, as soon as we began to leave, everyone and their mother appeared in the lobby. We told the workers how shocked we were and how it felt to get ignored on a day such as this. They told me that the managers name was Hailey. Hailey refused to come talk to me or make the slightest attempt to solve this. Ultimately, this traumatic experience is one that i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. I truly hope that no one else ever has to experience the torment my family experienced today, solely caused by this pet hospital and their staff. I hope that in the future their employees are trained to be empathetic."
"These guys have been awesome, responsive and caring. My dog was neglected by my ex-wife, and needed care of his dental health due to a chronic tooth infection, hip problems and none of his vaccines were up to date. They got me in the same day, got antibiotics for his teeth and scheduled him for x-rays for his hips and dental cleaning. By the next week his teeth were 100% better and he didn't need his teeth extracted. His hips were x-rayed and he had hip dysplasia, which we now have scheduled for a surgery consultation next week, referred by Banfield. Erika from Banfield was truly great and caring. I'm taking both my dogs here from now on. My previous vet would not even see my dogs for another two weeks, which would have been tragic for my dog with the tooth infection. I will use this place from now on! Thank you Erika!"
