"Purchased a Philips 3200 machine (over $1000 machine). It came fault from Philips “leaking”. They had us send it to Seattle coffee gear for repair. We sent the unit it in clean and in perfect condition only a couple weeks old. We received it back in AWFUL condition. Completely scratched and banged up all over. And filthy with coffee grounds and residue all over the machine. I don’t know how a company can stay in business sending 1,000+ machines back in this condition. Stay away from this company the reviews should speak for themselves. Extremely frustrating"
"They wanted to charge my $300 to fix my breville expresso machine , they listed at least 4 to 5 items that needed to be replaced, I took the machine home, decided to fix it myself, cost me $10 worth of parts “rubber gasket” it’s been over a year since the machine is working great. stay away they are scammers.!!!"
"Very unhappy with SGC. I own a Saeco coffee maker that I had bought from them. After a couple of years it broke down (grinding noise and unable to get out brew unit). So I emailed them to initiate a return for repair. They told me that the gear box was probably broken, they wouldn't have parts and it was only made for a year. I was kind of surprised by the unhelpfulness of that email and replied and they said, yeah, don't bother us, (just throw it away, I guess). This all with their 'diagnosis' being based on my description sent to them. So, I called the manufacturer (Philips/Saeco) and they referred me to a vendor in Michigan who does repairs. I sent the unit to them and they fixed it relatively quickly. They had no problems getting parts for the machine!"
"Couple of weeks ago, I brought my Delongie for diagnostic. 5 days later they gave me estimate and repair list for $600 . Today I had enough time to try to fix the machine. And guess what- The machine never have been opened before this time. Interesting, how they made the estimate and the list of parts for change?! I just changed the gaskets , which cost me a few dollars, and now everything works."
"Wow - pretty much the wort customer support and quality control I have ever seen in an e-commerce company. I bought a an expensive Rocket grinder that arrived with a scratched display. After returning the grinder, I received another scratched version and a promise the next grinder that will be sent out will be manually inspected. The third time around the grinder was scratched again. Not only have I been waiting close to two months to use the grinder but the excuse from Seattle Coffee Gear to a customer spending close to 2k on gear was that these machines are hand made and things like that happen. This is not a piece of art with a different shade of color than I expected but an expensive machine that you send out completely scratched. This is definitely the last time I have ordered from you and warn any new customers of the negligence and disrespect for your customers."
