"β If you're in search of professional moving services, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Olympic Moving & Storage, which is affiliated with Wheaton Van Lines and Bekins NW, is a disappointment from start to finish. One of the glaring issues is their very small fleet, which translates to a local agency that seems ill-equipped for the job. They often resort to packing and staging shipments on freight trailers handled by third parties, resulting in a lack of control and accountability. But that's not all. The constant turnover in management and staff means a severe lack of experience and attention to detail. It's possibly the worst moving experience I've ever had. To put it simply, if you've ever watched the movie with Richard Pryor, "Moving," that's the kind of experience you can expect from Olympic Moving & Storage. Avoid at all costs!"
"After our initial consultation I was excited to work with Olympic. They seemed very organized and professional. The actual day of moving was very different. The movers took apart every single piece of furniture down to the nuts and bolts. We have moved before and never had the need for this, but I figured it was just the way they did things. It took them over 8 hours just to pack up our house into a moving truck. The next day they met us at our new house. The movers began unpacking boxes and I noticed they were climbing on top of boxes to get things in the truck. They brought boxes in the house labeled as fragile upside down and clearly stepped. The big problems began when pieces of furniture were coming out completely broken. Our set of antique Danish teak dining chairs had a captains chair with the leg completely snapped off. Our outdoor furniture made by a carpenter in Portland also out of Teak had the legs broken as well. Then, when they went to make the bed they realized that they had lost the bolts to reassemble it and sent my husband to 3 different hardware stores looking for replacements. We were not able to find them so they left and our bed was in pieces on the floor. We had to special order the parts and pay someone extra to reassemble. Will not be recommending this company to anyone!"
"This was the worst experience we have had with a moving company. We bought a brand new home and hoped by hiring a moving company, that our new home would not be damaged by inexperienced workers. Two of the three men that showed up to move our items were brand new employees. When they moved our items to our new home, not only did they damage a few of our furniture pieces, they damaged walls in our brand new home. I provided pictures and was advised that we needed to complete a claim and take new pictures with a dollar bill next to each damaged area on the walls and banister. This is unacceptable. The company not only damaged a BRAND NEW HOME, they are making us jump through hoops in hopes to be reimbursed for the damages. Terrible movers followed with terrible customer service. I would 100% NOT recommend this company."
"Move went seamless, estimate was within $60 of actual price and zero damage to furniture or new house. The price was also very reasonable for the level of service provided. The guys were professional, courteous and had a great work ethic. From start to finish this company was highly customer service oriented. I called them multiple times with questions and they were always happy to help out and answer any questions I asked. I will recommend them to friends and family."
"We have made 4 moves in 6 years & this was the best experience. They arrived on time & actually loaded our furniture into the crates just like they said they would! Our last mover was suppose to do that but when the truck arrived we were told it was probably going to be done at the storage facility! They took such good care with our stuff, parts from the beds were wrapped separately & put into marked boxes, so the beds could be easily assembled when we get into the new place. Brian & his crew are the best! One happy mover here!"
