"A truly top notch experience. First, Skip and Rich have extensive experience, second, they know how to teach. This means not just regurgitating slides, but tying it into real world experiences that makes the information stick. I truly enjoyed every minute of the classes and I’m sorry it’s over. I’m using the information every day I’m on the water now. My favorite section was charting, and even though the rules are very detailed, I loved that section as well and feel so much more confident understanding the nuances and details. Jan does an amazing job with the credentialing process, ensuring that the “I”s are dotted and the “T”s are crossed. I’m thankful for her knowledge, skill and patience to deal with the complexities of the process. She has the experience that makes the filing process so much smoother. The lighting is excellent. The location is quiet and allows for focused learning, it’s one of the best training facilities I’ve been in, comfortable, supplied with everything needed to keep you going. One of the things I appreciated the most was the great air circulation and natural light, it really made focusing easier compared to some stuffy room, and especially right now, the facility provided face coverings, hand sanitizer and lots of spacing, making safety a priority as well. I should note that there are trains going by, but I found this pleasant and not distracting at all. This course is a true bargain compared to alternatives, a bad accident on the water."
