"Went to st Anthony hospital with chest pain. After a ekg and 1st blood work it was noted I did not have a heart attack. I was left in the lobby the entire time. I know there was beds available. I was not the only one that was treated in the lobby then discharged. I was still billed a 950.00 co pay. I called billing asking for a reduced bill as I never got a room. They would not budge I will drive out of my way to NOT go to st Anthony again."
"Not impressed. Two years ago went to emergency room after a quad accident. They sent me home claiming I had bruised ribs and possible hairline fracture. A year later (still feeling pain) during an MRI at another location they found 5 broken ribs with three that hadn't healed and now won't ever heal. Had they told me I had broken ribs I'd have convalesed better and longer. Two day ago I went to emergency after a probable food poisoning incident. Every muscle in my body was cramping with Charlie horses. I got there and they said the cramping was due to dehydration from all the vomiting and diarrhea. They took blood tests, an ECG and rolled me in a wheelchair into the waiting area.Three hours later after making me sit in a wheelchair in the waiting area they decided to release me. My wife asked why they'd not given me anything to rehydrate me, not even a drink of water. That's when they gave me an IV. After spending all afternoon in the waiting room of the emergency room. I figured if I ever have to go there again they'll just let me die there."
"The Emergency, Cardiac, ICU And PCU teams are top notch. For the situation at hand what it was, could've been horrific but at every turn the best Nurses, Techs & Dr's attended to us. The food is lacking, really missing the Chipmunk cafe, would love to see the College run a cafeteria here, not only for the patients but the staff as well. The housekeepers were great, I know they were short staffed so even the staff had to help pick up during turnovers but the house was clean. Only other thing, let the family have at least 1 person able to stay over with the patient if desired, there's plenty of space in the rooms and it's so good for patient moral and to help."
"Got great care and thorough medical attention once a bed opened in ER to be seen. Had to wait almost 2 hours in the hallway of the ER with a severe ankle fracture and dislocated foot. Was not given any pain medication until a room opened up and IV could be started 2 hours later. Once Dr. saw the situation, things progressed in a more timely matter. Staff was compassionate and Dr. Lane did a beautiful job with the foot reduction."
"The nursing staff did an amazing job with triage, starting iv and keeping you up to date on what's going on with your care. One visit I had Dr. Haswell, who is phenomenal! He kept me informed and was caring and compassionate with his care. Another visit, i had Dr. Lane; He made assumptions based on the "cover of the book" instead of listening to actual reason I was there. He did blood tests that had absolutely no basis under my care. The radiology and ultrasound crew did a great job as well."
