The Piano Coach

The Piano Coach is a unique institution located in Anacortes, Washington, offering personalized piano lessons for adults and children 8 years and older. Unlike traditional piano teachers, the approach here is more focused on coaching, providing students with tools to learn and improve through interactive lessons. Weekly 30-minute lessons are customized to each student's learning style, with the option for in-person or online sessions using Zoom. The goal is to help students express themselves through music, relieve stress, challenge themselves, and enjoy the process of learning a lifelong skill.

The founder of The Piano Coach has over 15 years of experience teaching students of all ages, with a teaching style that has evolved into coaching. Lessons are not only about learning to play the piano, but also about connecting on a personal level, having breakthroughs in learning, and making progress towards goals. Students are encouraged to practice at home to improve their skills and discipline, with the ultimate goal of self-improvement.

In addition to excellent piano instruction, students may also have the opportunity to meet Odie and Bubba, the friendly cats who love to hang around during lessons. The institution pays tribute to their late kitty, Rhino, who passed away in 2021, with occasional rhino symbols around the house and website.
