"I mean we all love our neighborhood dive bar, right? So I’m declaring my bias. Also, when I bring new people they say things like “that was the best burger I’ve had in a long time” and “this place is great” so….solid bar food (fried chicken sandwich add cheese is my go-to) great art (you can buy) on the walls, excellent pool tables, the best staff, and it’s just the right amount of busy."

"One of my favorite spots to play some pool and grab a drink. The food here is always top notch, with great burgers as well as some more exciting specials and homey classics like a grilled cheese and tomato soup combo."

"Great service, fun atmosphere, worst chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. The sandwich is 75% lettuce. Pretty much a single chicken tender on a hoagie roll. Also has a weird flavor I do not have the words to describe. I’m not usually a sandwich stickler, but I am struck by the strangeness of this food item I spent $15 on. The beer is not washing the flavor away. I do not know what to do."

"Dive bar surprise. This place makes no apologies. The ladies that steer this ship don’t answer stupid questions or suffer many fools. The kitchen serves up the best burgers on Foster Rd and boasts some quality ingredients for such a small corner. Add into the mix a side room with two pool tables and pinball machines, then one might find a few hours slip away. In true Portland form, there is plenty of artwork for sale. I don’t quite understand this town’s infatuation with abstract birdhouses nor why so many canvases boast obscure songbirds, but hey, where there’s a wall, there’s a way to decorate it."

"The Slingshot has great vibes even better food and the best drinks around. The bar is dog friendly and the bartenders are the best. It’s a neighborhood spot that gets busy due to having such great vibes and food service is fast. I’m here to much of the time because they are always consistent and quality."
