Reviews of Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park
"We were there doing the festival of trees right before Christmas. If you haven't been here for this event it's a must!!!!!"
"A lovely old mansion with particularly well-preserved woodwork. Displays included things about local history, antiques, and local crafts."
"Another park location ticked off the trailquest list. Enjoyed visiting very much. I have always enjoyed Appalachian history and this museum overflows with it. Friendly people and the grounds were immaculate. Lost track of time while touring."
"Absolutely beautiful! They're having a Harvest Hoedown today and it's going until 8pm! Check it out. It is gorgeous here!"
"Wonderful Victorian home and museum located in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. There was a small admission cost, which I think was $5 per adult and $3 per child over age five, if I remember correctly. It is a lovely three story home that was built in the 1800βs. When we were there it was beautifully decorated for a festival of Christmas trees. It may not be the most exciting place for small children. I had to keep a keen eye on our three year old to make sure she was not touching the exhibits. It was still a great place to visit."
