"Greetings, Hello I'm a student from Silver Lake Elementary, and I'd love to say, our school appreciates you guys very much. I would like to mention I used to go to this school, but I've shifted area's. Wishing best luck to this school! Sincerely, A Silver Lake Mustang."
"Horrible school when it comes to handling bullying. The administration even went so far as to blame my son for being victimized repeatedly (punched in the face, hit in the head, shoved into the dirt, held against his will and smacked in the forehead with a hard-bound book, all on separate occasions). Be careful if you have a child with any special needs or developmental delays. They will likely be severely underserved at Penny Creek, according to our experience. PS, there are several teachers at this school who are amazing. Unfortunately for them, they work at an awful school."
"The worst school my son has attended!!! My son is autistic and last year he was abused by one of the teachers in his classroom!!! They would not believe me and my son and it took another teacher to confirm it before they would even remove her!!!!! Now they are removing the best teacher in their because a parent doesn’t want her around their child because she is black!!!!!!!!!!!! This is not ok!!!!!! If you have a choice do not put your child in this school it has been nothing but problems and trauma for my son!!!!!"
"I very much disliked this school. When I went to this school I was bullied quite often. And it was clear who the people were and staff saw it. So there was a day I had told my teacher that I was being bullied, there was a note, others saw what happened, and they told me that they couldn't do anything and neither could the principal. More like wouldn't do anything. The other Staff weren't as friendly either. There was a day at lunch were I didn't eat. And so a Lunch Staff came up to me and asked why wasn't I eating? And I told them I wasn't hungry. Then they leaned into my face and whispered to me, " Is it because your fat? " Never forgot that. Another thing was at recess. They staff outside were .. [ insert swear word here ]. Apparently they have a problem with girls and guys being together and playing. Basically even playing at all. And what's wrong with being up-side down on the monkey bars? What's so wrong with playing tag? You can play tag in middle school. So over all me heading into my Freshmen year at Jackson, and looking back through my middle school years at Heather Wood Middle School and my years at Penny Creek Elementary. I can gladly say I like moving on. ~ Grace. M"
