"Beautiful gravesite which had a bunch of fresh flower arrangements on it on a random Sunday. Interesting other graves as well, including many unknowns. Historical wooden church across the street (gravel free parking area behind it). Large trees in cemetery. Grave has handicap parking spot and a short, paved ramp all the way, though it is on a little bit of an uphill slope. If this information was helpful to you, I'd appreciate a quick like. Thank you!"
"I remember vaguely learning about Chief Seattle, having grown up here. It never crossed my mind he may have a gravesite in the area. It was a pleasant surprise finding his grave in the area. I was simply exploring the area with my in-laws! If you need to take a ferry to Kingston for any reason, I'd suggest taking a quick stop here."
"Those who live here in Seattle ot the ones who are here visiting, this is a "must see"! Bring a little gift to Chief Seattle and leave it at his grave, you are going to feel his peace maker energy. You can walk around a little bit and have a drink at Sully's near the water. Every year, on the third weekend of August American Indian tribes from this area come together near Chief Seattle's grave and celebrate Chief Seattle Day with music, dancing and ceremonies. There is food and drinks as well. But it actually worths visiting any season or time of the year."
