Klahanie School is a non-profit, independent school located in Vashon, Washington. Our mission is to celebrate and support Our Island Youth in growing concentration, calm, independence, kindness, and resiliency together. We are committed to providing equitable, high-quality Montessori education for children and families, and we rely on generous contributions from donors to remain accessible to the community. We stand in solidarity with movements for racial and gender justice and equity, and we are dedicated to creating a future where all people are treated with respect. We acknowledge that we are on the ancestral lands of the sx̌ʷəbabš Coast Salish Native People and honor their historical relationship with the land. Klahanie School is on the path to American Montessori Society Accreditation and we offer Antibias Montessori Early Education programming for young learners.
