"Called to ask a couple questions and see about getting care here and the lady on the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional, speaking to me like I’m incompetent. I will never come here or recommend. It’s no surprise as the valley medical center has really just been going downhill these past few years."

"I really liked my Psychiatrist and Therapist here, but the business side seems to have won out in the end. There is a rule that if you miss 3 appointments in 6 months they discharge you. Which apparently means you can NEVER go back, you can NEVER see anyone here again. What I think should be done, is a reevaluation of a patients needs if they miss those appointments, maybe a temporary suspension, and because they were only therapy appointments that were missed cutting them off from the psychiatrist also is unacceptable. I get it, the insurance company is not going to pay you if you did not see a patient then. I have to be on a pattern I do something at a specific time each week then I can usually remember, but I missed an appointment when my college classes ended and I wasn't on a pattern anymore, then the following appointment my Therapist was sick, this further throws off my pattern now I haven't seen them in 3 weeks, jump 2 weeks later, 5 weeks since my last appointment, of course I missed it College classes also started up again that very week. But now I have no Psychiatrist and no Therapist, and am way to overwhelmed to find a p[lace that will take me and can handle my needs. At best it looks like I will have to go through 2 or three different companies to see a Therapist and Psychiatrist in which case I will miss more appointments."

"Dr. Aaron Bobb is a compassionate and kind psychiatrist. His sessions are a safe place for me and I appreciate the excellent work he does. The folks at reception are always friendly and helpful. It would be nice to be able to schedule appointments online instead of having to call in every time."

"Dr. Opara has been a fantastic support for me. She is the best listener I've ever met in my life. She worked tirelessly and incorporated all my feedback until we found something that worked for me and minimized side effects, and when I went through an extremely trying time in my life, she accommodated me to help me through it. She is a deeply caring, deeply knowledgeable doctor who is fantastic at her craft. She has always been responsive and timely and offers insight and advice that is extremely helpful and actionable. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Rejoice Opara."

"Called the morning of to cancel an appointment in the afternoon due to an emergency. (I have never done this before, mind you.) I was asked to leave a message to my psychiatrist to tell her the situation. The next day I am called to say I’m being charged a $75 late cancellation fee because “the committee” didn’t believe that my excuse of a death was valid enough to waive the late cancellation fee. Mind you I suffer from extreme depression, and I did not feel like telling the clinic every personal detail of what was going on while I was driving out of state for this. The receptionists are nice and friendly as long as you’re coughing up money, but the second you question anything, they become rude and condescending. Half the staff there should be the ones seeing a shrink. Don’t waste your time here."
