"Wife bought me a gun there a while back as a surprise, I for one will never spend a penny there because of the way friends have been treated in the past, but she did. He charged her $750 for a base model, when she could have went anywhere else and got it for $500. $750 was the price of the top end model (that I was planning to buy) Almost broke us up, it was a bad deal to me at how bad she got ripped off. His prices are steep, and if you are dealing with the owner himself, be ready for a ride old cranky guy that doesn't know much about guns. He gets real cranky when you have a better education on guns than he does. Not a place I would recommend going"
"Couldn't make a simple purchase of gun oil without having to stand around and being ignored, Perfect place to waste time and not get what you're looking for. Will not return."
"I spent well over $5000 at this shop in the last 2 years. Not a problem as long as I was forking over handfuls of cash for consignment guns that the shop had zero time or investment in. I had a few questionable experiences such as Jim misrepresenting and straight up lying about a Luger that was labeled as 9mm but was actually .30 luger, And an in person appraisal of a WW2 Remington Rand that he got completely wrong and gave a value of "less than $2000", when the actual value as determined by an actual recognized expert, Scott Gahimer was triple that. So yea, this guy pretends to be some kind of an expert but he is far from. I asked if they ship guns. "Yes we do" was Jims answer. So I had him ship a handgun out for appraisal and ran a few transfers through him, one of which had to be returned to the seller for damage, all of which I paid for without complaint or question. I did one more transfer, during which Jim was extremely rude and unwilling to make any real effort to contact the seller or make themselves available for contact in order to transfer paperwork. After a week I had to call Jim and make sure he was actually in shop and at his desk in person to receive paperwork. When the gun came through all of the sudden I was "problem customer" and my business wasn't welcome there any more. Literally threw me out of the shop. Jim, you are a tired, cranky old codger that should have retired years ago. If you are too lazy to do the actual work that sometimes comes with running a shop that advertises a service, then its time to get out of the business."
"Took a used ruger LCR (though I never used it) plus ammo in to sell; owner looked up price on internet and it was not working so offered me a price and unfortunately I took it. normally I would have done my research beforehand, however, did not know my gun. when I looked after, realized he had not given me a fair price by a considerable amount. went back and he and his other salesperson did not seem fazed. Now his internet was magically working and the exact same handgun was at a bid for $50 more and would likely go up based on my research and my ammo for $57 was essentially free to them so I am out well over $100 from them. if you want to be taken advantage of and treated with disrespect, then shop here."
"I purchased Tritium/fiber optic sights for my Ruger SR 40. Took it to Doc Neeley's. He had to engineer a new way to install the sights since Ruger has an odd system to mount sights on the slide. They had my sidearm done earlier than estimated and done at a great price."
