"It was an interesting drive going up to hopefully see snow. The strong wind did pick up and made the air freezing and foggy… so we decided to leave. There was hardly any snow but I did get to see deers going back down. I did like the drive under the 3 tunnels."
"Awesome views. There are paved and non-paved trails that will take you to the closest peaks for incredible views. We arrived at the ranger station around 8:30. Don't be discouraged by the signs saying the parking lot is full. The rangers will tell you if it's actually full, or just busy. We spent about 2 hours at the top and always saw parking spaces as people came and went. While they are still limiting daily car volume at 345 as of today, don't let the signs scare you off. Bring water and snacks. Stay awhile, enjoy the changing light on the landscape. The air is clean and refreshing. This morning was in the mid 60s for the morning hours we visited."
"Be sure to show up early, they only let 260 cars in per day because of the porto potty situation, we came at 9AM and had to wait an hour to get in. If you're over 62 I recommend buying the lifetime Olympic Park pass, extremely worth it, the entry fee per car is 30$, and the pass is 65$ or 80$ something like that, can't remember but it's worth it, you bring your whole family with you to these parks for free so it's pretty awsome. If you don't mind a small hike I highly recommend starting your treck up to the top via right hand side if your facing the trails forward, now this hike (not the paved one, that one is very easy and short) the good hike will take you through the most fantastic awe inspiring views you'll ever see, the clouds will be beneath you, the world just seems small when your all the way up there, absolutely worth it. If you have a stroller take the paved path, it's nice and easy for people with a bunch of kids or little ones. We spent about 2 hours here. Bring a lunch/snacks, since the lodge burned down there is nothing to purchase in terms of food."
"We visited Hurricane Ridge in July 2023. It is an amazing experience and we enjoyed a lot to travel around. It’s 40 mins drive from Port Angeles. You can spend the entire day there and explore the place, trails etc. I would recommend you to come on weekdays to avoid crowd."
"Some of the prettiest views I’ve ever seen. Great, well maintained trails and absolutely worth the time (I wish we had spent more time up here hiking around) to go up here. We got there early so we got right in but there can me a wait and even no admission if you do not arrive early enough because they cap the entrance. Definitely do your due diligence before arriving!"
