"A must see if you're in the area. Beatiful grounds, barely any people, perfect for walking. Capitol building is an impressive building, we looked around and went down to gift shop. There are restrooms on the same level. Parking block down was only 0.75 an hour."
"This place is definitely worth visiting. The free tour was thorough, and we learned a lot of interesting information. It's a great place to walk around and even sit down to enjoy your day."
"Tip: If walking here from downtown, ignore maps walking directions. Walk the gravel path along the water, just a bit north of and at the bottom of the backside of the Capital grounds. You will end up walking along a fence, where you will spot a switchback walk path up the hill and spitting you out at the front steps of the Capital. This is a set of historic grounds. The beauty and history of the architectural craftmanship alone makes this a worthy visit. Then there is the fact these buildings are where a lot of our laws are drafted, ratified, discussed and a seat of local government. This is where history was made, our present is decided at the legal level and our future may well be created. The grounds are well groomed and beautiful. Parking is free and easy. Restrooms are available. Someone sits at a table by the front step entry to answer any questions you may have. There is no AC that I am aware of. The stoutness of structure and cooling stone walls and floors help somewhat on a warm day, but it still got uncomfortable while we visited on an eighty degree day. We stopped and stood against the marble walls to cool off a couple of times after climbing multiple levels of stairs. If you haven't had the chance to stop here, make it a destination and stroll the gardens, where views of the marina are framed by historic downtown."
"Easy to find right off I-5. Park and wander the grounds and the buildings. It's all free, amazing views especially the rotunda and the gardens."
"Such a great place to walk around or just sit and enjoy Nature's Beauty. Well kept lawn and grounds"
