"We enjoyed the best of the area with Olympic Hiking. Their guides are the best! Daniel is a naturalist and we learned a lot about the area, eco preservation and indigenous culture. Eric has a ton of mountaineering experience and led us on Hurricane Ridge tour. Highly recommend Olympic Hiking for your adventures!"
"BOOK THIS TOUR! We went up with a small group for my birthday and it was a total blast! We had a mix of weather from sunny skies to snow which felt like you were walking through a snow globe! The trees looked like they were out of a Dr. Seuss book - just incredible. One of the coolest experiences I've had in the park. You left feeling like you accomplished something physically while also having epic views and magical time in nature. I HIGHLY recommend!"
"Took their winter shuttle to Hurricane Ridge yesterday and had such a wonderful time!!! Before the trip, they were very flexible with rescheduling and refunds, which was really helpful as our group had to cancel and reschedule. After all the snow this week, we were worried the road may not open on Saturday, but I contacted the company and Trevor was able to give me a very good perspective on the opening that gave us peace of mind to travel. After arriving at the Port Angeles Wharf, they immediately put us at ease. Even though we only signed up for the shuttle and not the snowshoe tour, they were very willing to give us help and even lend us extra gear for the cold weather. Parking was super easy as well and free. After experiencing some ice on the drive from Seattle to Port Angeles, it was really nice to be able to relax on the shuttle and just enjoy the views. Drive was really smooth and on time. At the ridge, views were absolutely breathtaking. It was a cold day and there is no lodge at the ridge currently, so it was really nice that we could take breaks on the shuttle, which stays up and heated during the whole trip. The guides helped us plan our outing and gave us advice to help us make safe decisions with all of the recent snowfall. We had a wonderful 4.5 hours snowshoeing all over. In total, we got to the top at 930 and left at 215. The shuttle was very punctual. You really can't beat the price of the shuttle. $30 if you don't have a national parks pass. Great value. Once again we are super thankful for the staff; they are doing this for the love of it, and they really just wanted to help! 10/10 recommend!!"
"We (a group of local friends) had a great time on our trip to the Hoh! It was so nice to have a knowledgeable naturalist who was also a safe driver. We got to chat and enjoy the scenery while he took care of getting us to our destination. Our chosen destination was the South Fork of the Hoh to avoid the crowds at the main Hoh Olympic National Park entrance. There was one car at our trailhead and we met one hiker along the way. The boundary of the Park was a short ways into our hike designated by a sign (with a slug crawling on it!). We meandered through the lush mossy forest as the trail distantly followed the river. We hiked out four miles, stopping often to investigate mushrooms, animal tracks, trees, and more. The lunches provided by Olympic Hiking Co. were perfect and we ate sitting on a river bar while watching a family of mergansers and a Douglas squirrel. On the hike out, we were well-equipped to handle the light rain since we followed the “what to bring” list provided. We all had a fun day and would highly recommend a trip with Olympic Hiking Co.!"
"This is not your regular tour company, it far exceeds expectations. I have navigated easily through several of the national parks, but I was having some difficulty navigating Olympic. I spoke with Tommy, one of the owners, and he took the time to answer each one of my questions. My conversation with him confirmed that using Port Angeles as a base would be a good idea. Not only did Tommy set me up with the Sol Duc tour, but he made special arrangements for us to be able to join the group going to Hurricane Ridge the next day. We rented a car and could have navigated on our own but we would not have had the benefits of having Tracy and Bob as our tour guides. It was much more relaxing to have them drive us but we also thoroughly enjoyed the additional information on each of the tours. Their knowledge of the area, recommendations for additional hikes, and explanation and knowledge of the forest was incredibly valuable. Plus, keeping two teenagers fully engaged is no small task! We highly recommend Olympic Hiking Co!"
