"Literally the best experience ever! Maddie was the BEST guide to have out there for a 3 day kayaking trip! We had so much fun and I learned so much about the islands and sea kayaking! Outdoor Odysseys as a whole is wonderful to work with! I got extremely sick with a sinus infection and decided last minute to tough it out and the owner was so accommodating and had our guide pick me up at my hotel on the way to the launch site. The food was amazing. The company was amazing. The views were amazing! I cannot say enough great things. Cannot wait to come back next season for another trip!!"

The sights, the kayaking, the wildlife, the FOOD was made fresh from scratch for every meal and was many times better than restaurant quality, and I suspect we had hands down the very best guide in the U.S.A. "We had a wonderful time kayaking with Outdoor Odysseys! My husband and I had some experience kayaking, but had never kayaked on the ocean before, and were a little apprehensive. Outdoor Odysseys did a great job preparing us, from sending us a “what to wear” list to sharing a brief “how-to” video to help us feel more prepared. Our guide, Eli, also did a great job sharing some tips and tricks, as well as giving us a great safety talk. We had a great time on our full-day kayaking trip. No whales, but we saw plenty of seals, and had a great time out on the ocean! We stopped for lunch at a lovely beach, had time for a quick hike to a lookout, and had a simple but satisfying lunch. Eli did a great job accommodating our dietary restrictions, and made sure there was plenty to fuel us for the paddle back! On the way out and back, Eli shared facts about the plants and wildlife. He even shared facts about the island on the way to and from our launch site, making our transport feel like a mini-island tour. His passion for the outdoors and the San Juans was contagious! I would recommend Outdoor Odysseys to anyone looking for a thoughtfully planned outdoor adventure. "If you’re thinking about doing this (especially if you’re going alone), do it. We had Andy as our tour guide for a three day trip and he was fantastic. He was a wealth of knowledge not just with Kayaking but with everything from wildlife to cooking to camping. We built friendships as a group. The San Juan islands are gorgeous in June and the food delicious. They provide all food and camping gear if you need. Such an amazing experience — just be prepared for some waves and hard work. We kayaked 5 hours a day with plenty of breaks. I’m a novice kayaker and thought this was a great way to build my skills. Highly recommend!!"
