"So sorry for the delay! I went out with Western Prince Sept 10-13 and had THE BEST TIME!! Bethany, Ivan, and Katie were who I went out with over the 3 days, and all were amazingly knowledgeable and fun. Captains Ivan and Bethany did a great job driving and navigating the San Juans in search of marine mammals. The vessel (The Western Explorer 2) drives like a dream, too! She's perfectly built for fantastic comfort and wildlife viewing from all angles. The all weather suits definately do their job! Top quality suits that you wear on the boat keep you dry and happy. I even fell asleep on the way back when we had a day when wildlife was pretty far out and we had about a 45 mins drive back, the suits were ao comfortable lol. Over the course of my three days, we found three different orca families, several humpback whales and a minke whale and lots and lots of stellar sea lions. We even a lone sea otter at the rocks where the sea lions hang out, which is a rare find in that area. Communication, check in, getting to the boat, orientation, safety, and wildlife interpretation were all handled smoothly and perfectly, in my opinion. I recommend WP for the perfect whale watching experience. Thanks captains, crew and shop peeps for a fantastic few days!"

"Highly recommend this excursion! Very knowledgeable guides and friendly captain, lucked out with a gorgeous weather day. The boat is very exposed to the elements but the company provided very cozy foam-lined suspenders and jackets as well as hand warmers and fleece caps. Saw humpbacks, orcas, stellar sea lions, and a bald eagle."

We not only got to see a Sea Lion munching a giant pacific octopus, we also got to see a Sea Otter in the wild! "I wish I could give this experience 10 stars instead of just 5. I had the most fantastic time with my family. Captain Ivan and Bethany expertly guided us. Our adventure started with seeing sea lions, following a pod of orcas that included a baby calf for over an hour, and ending with a bald eagle. I enjoyed the expert knowledge about marine biology from both Captain Ivan and Bethany. It was a wonderful experience that I will never forget. We will be back next summer!"
