Reviews
"Why is there so much trash everywhere"
"Go when the visitor center is open! See the movie. The plight of the workers mimics the life of the persons in "THE JUNGLE" by Upton Sinclair. Except that the miner families could have a garden. The displays in the visitor center are well put together and very informative. With many items from the past on display. You can drive through the village and look into some of the houses. They have displays of how life was back in the day, complete with coal cook stoves and simple furniture. A few of the houses are private residences."
"I enjoy historic places!"
"Excellant museum. Lots of homes and buildings from the miners village where they lived. The company store, churches, doctors home/office, mine owners home. Actors to talk to you about the buildings, and life back then."
"Very interesting."
