Complex is kid friendly, relatively quiet, and safe. Reasonable rent and utilities, especially for its proximity to the water. "I've lived here the past 2 years and I have loved it. Don't bother reading all the reviews posted years ago, everything is substantially different now. The majority, if not all, of the units have been renovated, and now have great countertops, wall to wall carpeting, updated appliances, and in home washer/dryer units. The management, new or not I'm not sure, has always been polite and attentive to my concerns. Mistie and Tanya, the managers, have been great. The pool has always been open, and the hot tub only closed a few times, likely simply to rebalance the chlorine levels for safety. I have loved living here; the neighborhood is a quiet residential, and the complex has only had one minor disturbance since I've been here. Gas station 7-11, a small grocery mart, and the Puget Sound coast are all within a mile, with Lakewood town center only about 10 mins from my door. My only complaints are minor ones: The fitness center could use an update, the weights are not very good and the bench is honestly dangerous to use, and the treadmill sounds like it's going through its death rattle; the homes are a bit small but price is more than fair, around $1.25 per sqft. in a quality neighborhood (w/d unit in home is priceless, personally), great for a small family, but more than a kid or two and you'll wish you had more space; and your delivery options are pretty much just Pizza Hut...the new Jimmy John's has a stupid tiny radius the complex is just outside of, and the Lakewood Dominoes won't go the extra .5 miles to get you a pizza. Overall, I can't recommend this place more if you want a nice, quiet neighborhood that's close to JBLM and plenty of other retail stores. I'll never forget being able to take a short run or drive out to Sunnyside beach to watch the sunset on a blanket. I've been very happy with my time here and I'm sad to be leaving."
