"I had heard rave reviews about Dr. McNally’s care and exceptional professionalism - unfortunately this was not my experience with her or her office staff. I had to wait 6 months to see her, pay $50 just to make the appointment, just to be told “here’s 200mg of progesterone, you should try losing weight.” (For context at the time I was 5’7 and 200lbs, yes overweight - but I expressed that had been the heaviest I ever was and it wasn’t going away with diet and exercise) I’d been battling with new-to-me mental health issues that severely affected my day to day life and well being. I had to quit my job, seek new doctors, I was trying acupuncture, therapy, reiki, yoga, all sorts of avenues to help myself and when I finally got to see Dr. McNally I was nearing a breaking point.. it definitely did not help that she completely dismissed the info I was trying to provide her, told me to lose weight and come back in 6 months. (I can only assume this baseless advice came from a place of judgement in how I appeared. I was wearing sweats and my hair was a mess) In fact, she prescribed me the highest amount of progesterone possible without even looking at my charts or testing my blood/urine/hormones, etc. she bad-mouthed my naturopath, told me the Dutch test I spent $300 on was a waste of time and money, and when I finally broke down to tears she finally began to soften while simultaneously escorting me to the lobby. “It’s a good thing you’re here so we can fix you, don’t be upset”. I later found out that I did indeed have a hormonal imbalance but if would’ve blindly believed Dr. McNallys negligent hypothesis, it would have snowballed a whole slew of symptoms for me. A young woman seeking help and knowledge from a local gyno should’ve never been treated this way. Quit calling me, I’m not paying you another cent."
