"I moved into Affinity during the height of the COVID pandemic in October 2020. Residents were nowhere to be seen. Glenn B, a fellow resident, went out of his way to help others during that difficult time. Amenities were shutdown and everyone wore masks in common areas. It was a scary time, and together we all made it through. Fast forward to our current times. Yes, there has been employee turn-over during the past few years. Some management teams and staff were more effective than others. Still, our community has continued to grow and change and continuously improve. Our current director Jo, and assistant director Lawanda, have done a remarkable job of “cleaning house” so to speak. Their positive personalities fit nicely together. They get things done! They’ve unraveled a lot of issues (left behind by prior management) and addressed organizational challenges successfully. Both Jo and Lawanda have shown a strong commitment to make Affinity at Olympia a great place to live. We are a diverse group of 55+ year old residents here. We especially admire the courage of our most senior (90+ year old) residents. They are making a sincere effort to remain independent and age in place with the support and assistance of family and friends. I moved my own 91 year old mother into Affinity at Olympia 18 months ago and she feels safe here. Residents with special needs are able to live here comfortably and access in-home care as needed from outside providers. Groceries and prescriptions get delivered regularly. And Dial-a-Lift comes to the front door. Or, Ubers are always close by. We are neighborly, and respect each others’ privacy as well. And, there are numerous activities (both Affinity and Resident sponsored). There are many amenities available to residents (too many to list). Overall, Affinity at Olympia is where I choose to live. It’s a great place!"

"About a month ago, my family and I helped my mom move into the Affinity facility in Olympia. We are originally from out of state, and were concerned about finding a quality place for her to live in an area we weren’t familiar with. Affinity couldn’t have been more of a blessing. They were quick to offer assistance and insured my mother was taken care of. Thank you!"

"I moved from a different state and didn’t know much about Washington. Online I found Affinity and called and spoke to Jo. She was extremely helpful, chose an apartment that she thought I’d like in a very good location, gave me a video tour and here I am. I love it here! Affinity at Olympia is in a great location close to stores, gas station, hospital, medical office etc but isn’t in the city. The fellow residents of all ages 55 and up are very friendly. There are plenty of activities to get involved with for both men and women. The Staff consisting of Jo, Lawanda, Emily, Kelly, Luke and sometimes Cameron are all great. Maintenance responds quickly and will even help out with things like connecting my tv stand to my tv - I really couldn’t figure out how lol. All in all I say this is a wonderful place to live. Keep up the great work team!"

"I'm a very recent tenant but what was important to me is the location and the easy access to shopping. The staff is so personable and helpful. They are working very hard on improving are lives here. The amenities really make my life enjoyable. I'm happy I'm here."
