"My husband and I love this little historical treasure. We simply have not been able to visit in open building hours yet! The garden is beautiful!"
"Got village. Buildings in good shape. Excellent staff."
"Zoar holds a yearly Civil War Reenactment with between 700 and 1,000 reenactors. There are Civil War bands and Calvary and different soldier groups. There are camp outs and people dressed in period clothing who are seen throughout the village. It is a 2 day event. Both days culminate in a choosen battle reenactment. This year was The Battle of the Wilderness from the Overland Champaign. The cost for both days is 10.00 for adults free for children 12 and under. The Friday before there is a Civil War School Day that Boy Scouts can earn a badge for attending. It is one of the largest reenactments with period clothing and up close and personnel experiences of Civil War reenactments. Well worth attending. Volunteers are on hand to help with questions. There are a couple of places to shop and the Village Residents are very helpful. I found it helpful as a genealogist who had family involved in this particular battle or to gain prespective of what camp life was like, period clothing etc. Good opportunity."
"Wonderful historic village with period re-enactment and guides"
"Very nice old Town with a festive Christmas event!"
