I was grateful to see a journey of a man that is a national treasure because of what we are or should be learning from. There is no way I could ever put myself in his shoes but to see and touch the land he was a slave and now his name is over it as a concurring national monument was a powerful experience."
"What a sweet and informative place. I’ve driven by this place way too many times and we decided to just go walk around. The lady at the counter was super nice and really wanted to help. It was a colder day in the winter. I imagine in the summer there are more animals and interaction. Just reading the signs about Booker wanting to learn to read was worth the trip. High recommend"
"History is the single most important subject taught in school. It's constantly applied to all of our lives every day no matter your job. This place will launch you back into the past to really appreciate that history and teach you were some of us have risen from. This is a top 10 must visit location, it will ground you back into reality in an age full of screens and humble you about your personal life. Inspiring, interesting, and beautiful. Plus really healthy. The trail walk was really tame and fun."
"Loved our visit! The park ranger was super friendly and very knowledgeable. We got there around 4, so we skipped the video and went thru the exhibit and walked the beautiful grounds. The site is very accessible, with electronic doors and well paved trails. Lots of parking. Great for kids."
