"Hands down the best experience that we’ve had in a long while. The boat was very nice and well kept. We felt safe our entire ride. The ride was smooth and all of the staff were very friendly. The bathrooms were clean and very big. There was both inside seating and outdoor seating for whichever experience you preferred. Inside the boat were tables with bench seats you could sit at and relax. The AC was much appreciated on a hot summer day! The captain was super friendly and allowed my twins to drive the boat for a minute. It MADE their day! The boat tour to the island is basically just enough time to walk a small portion of the island and eat lunch. If you want to do anything more than that you will need to plan an overnight stay to take in more of the island. We plan to use Tangier Island Cruises again when we go back to Tangier Island to stay for an extended weekend."

"We enjoyed our boat ride to the Island. The captain gave interesting info about some sights we were seeing and allowed the children into the pilot house."

"Hyewon and I took the ferry to Tangier, Virginia which is an island town in Accomack County, Virginia, on the Chesapeake Bay. The population we were told is about 450. The majority of the original settlers were from South West England, and the tiny island community has attracted the attention of linguists because its people speak a unique English Restoration-era dialect of American English. Most of Tangier Island is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We had soft shell crab for lunch sitting with to island born teachers and our waitress was one of 4 graduates this year from the local school."

"A great trip. Staff very friendly. Comfortable ride on a nice boat. Get out here and visit Tangier Island before sea level rise takes it over. The people out there are very welcoming."
