Carhartt Mansion Ruins

"Never even heard of this place, we stopped to eat and I googled stuff to see and this popped up. Confusing on how to get there, disappointed that there's not much left but was neat to see and kids enjoyed it and was a good walk for the dog"

"I went with my five year old today, and I honestly don't know the history behind the Carhartt mansion ruins. But now I want to know after seeing them today. What's left is really cool and creepy looking. The trail is really pretty and clean and right along the beautiful Catawba River. The trail is shaded and there's benches set up along the trail. Parking can be tricky so I went with another Google recommendation and parked by The Pump House. I apologize for the emoji in the pictures of my son. As he is underage, I prefer to not post him publicly."

"Beautiful hike in the River Walk trails. Cool to imagine what it must have looked like in its prime. Not much left, but you can see the quality in the stone work and how big it must have been."
