"We had an amazing time during our stay at Hogland House on 9/24. We stayed in the lovely Lilac Room. The view from our room was breathtaking and the room itself was delightfully appointed and had everything we could possibly need for a romantic evening! The bed and pillows were soooo comfortable! The proprietress was incredibly sweet and accommodating. She gave us a discount card for a nearby restaurant called Arnies. The food was superb! We returned in time to walk the lush grounds and sit on a deck overlooking the water to watch the sunset. We also enjoyed sitting on the beautiful porch and taking in the view. In the morning, we were served a hearty and delicious breakfast before we had to leave. We will definitely be going back for special occasions and happily give Hogland House a 5 Star Rating!!!"

"Hogland House is wonderful. From the moment you walk in, you feel not only welcome, you feel like you're home. It's cozy, private, and peaceful. Both available rooms have private baths (yes, there are tubs), comfy beds, TV/DVD, microwave, refrigerator, table and chairs, and there's wifi throughout. The service could be described as DIY, but that's part of what makes it so welcoming and yet private. Actually, it's better described as 'Help yourself to anything you need; just ask if you can't find it.' The water views from the Lilac room, from the porch (and hot tub!) and from the extensive grounds, are breathtaking. Birds squirrels, and bunnies are abundant around the gardens, and with Whidbey Island and the Mukilteo Ferry in the background... Well, it's out of a fairy tale, really. The Mukilteo Ferry Terminal is mere blocks away, as is a large beach park and boat launch. Shops, restaurants, cafés are within walking distance. Just 5 min by car to Boeing/Paine Field and under 30 min to Seattle? Amazing. A bargain even were it twice the price."
