Reviews
"Came here to hike the .5 mile section of rail trail at this location! Very beautiful late summer day!"
"It's a nice place. The building isn't open to the public but you can do a walk around. Very nostalgic."
"Very cool historic train depot."
"Sheep. Hiking. Railroad. Shakers. Curious? A healthy mix of current land use and historical data will keep the mind intrigued and the wits sharp. With a bit of clever filming and authentic props, a movie director could morph this pleasant village corner into a believable early American republic experience when the train was king of the industrial revolution. Today, the depot is a wood working shop w/ shaker furniture stylings, the land is grazed by sheep and the old railroad bed is a walking path for locals."
"The depot is a historic building, it is much the same as it was in the day. Historic details are well intact, inside & out. This is a popular stop for RR enthusiast's. it is owned by a private historic foundation and rented out to a local woodworker. It is not open for tours, but if you want some woodworking done, I'm sure he would show you inside! This was a very busy little village when the B&M line was active. This branch line was taken out of service after the hurricane of 1938. The RR bed is now a walking trail."
