Motel 6 Gresham, OR - Portland

"I've been placed in this shady motel by a housing program so I'm not trying to complain to much this is more of a heads up to warn others. I've been in this room about a week now, the front desk decided to call me at 2:30 am and woke my spouse and our children to accuse us of smoking in the room! Besides that they claim the WiFi works but it doesn't, neither does the cable. I have to get my key remagnatized every day, which means I have to deal with the rude staff who only seem interested in being on their phones! The room that has 2 queen mattresses came with 2 towels, I asked for an additional 2 for my children and was told no and that if the towels were returned dirty I would have to provide my own. I'm not sure what what's wrong with these employees but I can't wait to get out of here! AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!"

"We just stayed here because our power was out during a massive ice storm for 3 days. They were amazing, not fancy but clean and very kind staff. Electricity, heat and wifi for me, my 10 year old and little pup."

"The hallways that you walk through to get to the rooms were dirty and had a real grimy feeling to them, in addition to being very poorly lit. It was noisy and hard to get a good night's sleep. The bathtub looked filthy, although after I took a closer look it turned out to be just scratches and stains. The bathtub plug didn't work, so in order to fill it up for a bath, I had to use my sock as a stopper. There wasn't enough towels, we were in a room with 2 queen beds and there was only 2 bath towels, a floor towel, a hand towel and a washcloth, and to make matters worse the towels were rough on the skin, and also looked dingy and dirty and gross. I ended up using my t-shirt to dry off instead. The front desk staff that worked late night was very cold and did not give a very welcoming or helpful energy. Overall, he just gave so-so service, nothing overly horrible, but nothing all that great either. The worst part of the stay happened the next morning when we were getting ready to leave. I confirmed with the front desk that morning that check out was 11am. I didn't even request a late check out like I usually do whenever I stay at a hotel. Despite this, not only did the maid come and knock on the door at 10am to confirm we were checking out, but again at 10:30am and AGAIN at 10:45am and AGAIN at 10:55am! The front desk also called the room twice. It was very frustrating because like I just mentioned normal checkout time was 11am and they did not stop hounding me from 10am on about leaving. On the plus side, the heater worked great and we were able to get warmed up fast, which was a wonderful thing after our car broke down on the side of the highway."
