"The tradition of finding some of the best food in the most unassuming places could not be more true of Ishtar. This was our first time here and even though we're dans of a hole in the wall, even we were suspicious. But it was a slam dunk. The owner was awesome, service was friendly and familiar, and we learned they have been open for 10 years, surviving COVID. Could not recommend this place more. We got the chicken tikka and the lamb gyro, both were excellent. When you're craving a gyro, come here."
"I had a lamb beef gyro and some garlic fries with taziki sauce. Best Mediterranean food ever. 5/5"
"Amazing Iraqi food! I had the gyro and Ishtar fries, ate every bite with gusto. Shawarma was so good also, gf shared a bite with me and I'll def be ordering that next time. We shared an order of sambusa, really really delicious. Prices are pretty good. Don't let the outside appearance or scuffed paint fool you, this place is a real hidden gem, a hole in the wall with great character and charm and even better food. The decor shows a real appreciation of and respect for femininity, perfect for bringing a date. The restaurant is named for a great Queen and goddess who all fell in love with whenever they saw her, and there is much art to that effect. Music was lovely and melodic except for one song in English that was weirdly religious talking about the one and only god etc that kinda broke the vibe, other than that I loved everything about the place and will for sure be back. 10/10"
"I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon this hidden gem while looking for a quick bite. The service was excellent, and there were plenty of options on the menu. What really stood out was the exceptional quality and delicious taste of the food. I can't wait to come back and explore more of their delicious food."
