We offer medical chaperones for sensitive physical exams to ensure the comfort and dignity of our patients. As per the Oregon Medical Board requirements, all board-certified clinicians are now required to offer a trained medical chaperone for any sensitive exam.
Parents and guardians have the right to decline a medical chaperone for children under 15 years old, while patients 15 years and older can make their own decisions regarding the presence of a chaperone. Patients can change their mind and request a medical chaperone at any time during their exam.
While Oregon healthcare settings are not required to wear masks as of April 3rd, our clinic has exceptions in place to prioritize the safety and well-being of our patients and staff.
