"The Bed was miserable, thermostat didn't work, the place was a oven. The frezzer didn't work and we lost all our ice cream. The TV was mostly static and was unwatchable. There was half eaten food under the bed. The floor and walls were dirty and to top it off rat poop under the couch. Not happy."
"Very pleasantly surprised! What a cozy place to be. I only expected a double queen room and we got a whole kitchen and living room too! Everything was clean. Can't beat that for the price! The back porch was the icing on top of the cake. We had breakfast and coffee there each morning we stayed. THE HEATER WORKS. omg it worked so well. Even set at 70, we still needed to Crack the window for cool air. It was so nice. The gentleman at the front had no issue getting us extra coffee. We drank coffee all throughout the day and it saved us the expense of $7 a cup out elsewhere and we really appreciated that. I'd do this place all over again! All the positive reviews."
"This was supposed to be a little vacation for me and my partner to celebrate us. Now, from what we saw online versus in person, absolutely atrocious. Online, it looked great and really nice. A garden, good chairs, a cute one bedroom suite… ya know, high expectations. HOWEVER. I used to live in a home that had black mold, I know the distinct smell of it very easily. Walking into the lobby with my partner, I was hit with a very harsh and wave of black mold being covered by a strange chemical smell. The receptionist was very rude and grouchy towards us, talking down to my partner in a way that gave us the impression he was not happy to see us. When my partner said his first and last name, the receptionist literally sighed like he was annoyed with us. He gave us a weird looking key that really didn’t seem as secure with a bunch of holes in it. When we first went into the room, the musty smell hit me like a train. Looking around there’s a whole in the wall showing wiring, next to the living room there’s a heater, television, and bunch of cords that were all bunched together in a hazardous way. A loose plug outlet with wires scrambled over each other above the HEATER. Super dangerous. Going to the back porch we noticed on the caulking there’s was black mold and some unidentifiable matter shoved in the corner. Seeing the patio was not our expectations at all. Old rusty chairs facing just nothing as the pictures showed. Later, my partner came back from getting pizza and a few minutes after taking a shower he started getting nauseous. To the point he got ill and threw up. When he went to lay down in the bedroom, I checked out the bathroom and to my shock there was black mold caked into the mirror and shower itself. The toilet leaks every time we use the restroom and the shower head as well. Oh— and the shower head knob works opposite, blue (usually cold) means hot water and red (usually hot) means cold water. Around 10pm I went inside to the bedroom and went to lay on the stiffest bed ever. I’ve slept on bad hotel beds before, but this, my partner had to try and accommodate me with his body or a pile of clothes to support my back and neck. The pillows are so thin without any fluff might as well rest your head on the bare sheets. Maybe 30 minutes later my head started hurting and I started to get sick where my partner and I have decided to sleep on the pullout couch. Around 11:30ish, that’s when we discovered there is more mold and safety hazards embedded in the room. Mold on the headboards, in the kitchen, the ceiling, and previous places I mentioned before. Along with unidentifiable stains on the wall. My partner didn’t know what mold looks like on wood until I showed him my old previous dresser that was made out of wood infested by black mold. It was on the headboard of our bed. We’ve been reading the reviews and have heard they won’t refund you if you cancel which is ridiculous. This is insane safety hazard and I would rather sleep in our truck than here."
"Very quiet (which we really loved) and clean. We spent a comfortable couple of days here exploring the coast. My only complaint is that there were no utensils in the kitchenette. No silverware or glasses, nothing to eat on, etc. There was a microwave. Would go again probably, just would be better prepared."
"This is an old apartment complex. As soon as we opened the door to our room the musty smell hit us in the face. Smelled as if it had been flooded at one time. The floors in the main room were so soft we were concerned about them giving in as we walked on them. A huge safety concern. Inspections by management were required before we checked out. We took photos of everything wrong with every room as soon as we checked in so they wouldn't try and pin any prior damage on us. Missing wood trim. Damage to walls. Black mold in shower stall. Dead spiders. The list could on and on. Todd at front desk has no clue what he is doing. He would tell us one thing and management would scratch their heads as to why he would tell us that. Check-in took over half an hour even though we made reservations over phone prior to arrival. Check out took almost as long. Staff told us they have to do the "walk through" prior to check out because they have people stealing towels and televisions. The television looked like it was from the 90's and with all the lines going through the picture it performed like it was from the 90's as well. It was nothing more than a non functioning table ornament. Hilarious. We will never stay here again nor would we ever recommend this grossly over-priced half dilapidated former apartment complex that is long overdue for repairs and updating."
