"This is more about a person instead of this place. I had Amy as my nurse. I was a transfer and she helped me have my natural birth I wished for and stood up for my birth plan. She was/is amazing. I wish I could of thanked her more. I had her from the moment she got on shift, to the end which was start to finish with my labor/birth. She's an angel. *Amy if you ever see this, my husband and I thank you for everything."
"I personally had an amazing experience giving birth here. This is THE ONLY hospital in the greater Seattle-Tacoma area offering in-hospital water births, which is what I had. I had my baby in 4 hours with the help of Bonnie as my midwife. Forgot the nurse's name as it was an incredibly intense experience. Everyone was respectful of my desires and preferences no matter how particular or obnoxious I was while in labor. Also, THEY HELPED ME FOLLOW MY BIRTH PLAN and had obviously read it and cared :) I got to look at my placenta and take a keepsake picture of it. The postpartum nurses were awesome too. The came in and helped change our baby so we didn't have to get up too much, let us sleep as much as possible in the morning, and the cinnamon rolls are top notch!"
"I feel like this is a death hospital rather than a safe place to give birth to a baby. I was here a week ago for my nieces birth. Thank god im giving birth at TG in 3 days and not here. They treated my sister rudely, rooms were filthy, some nurses were nice and others were snotty with snarky comments. My sister didn’t even get post partum supplies or a menu to order food. She was using her own supplies. This being her first baby, she didn’t know better. L&D didn’t even check visitors in. I was let in the unit without ever getting a visitor badge, as the rest of my family was. On top of that, a week exactly from me, my sister and mother being here, we all magically have Covid now (and we don’t even live together) this was the only place we would’ve been all exposed at the same time. Have your baby elsewhere."
"Had a wonderful experience with the care and team at St. Joseph during my pregnancy and labor. We were presented with many options for birth, both "natural" and "medical," and my husband and I both felt that the staff listened to us, were patient with us and answered every question we had. We met so many team members and were happy with them all, especially Richelle Olsen, Carrie Miller, Ashley Goodman and nurse Beatrix!"
"Just had my son here 7/19. This was the worst most traumatizing hospital experience i have ever had. Surgeon was great. Staff was extremely cold and judgemental. I had a c section and am physically disabled. I was rushed and pressured the entire reviver time. Had to beg for a third day. No one helped me take a shower or stand up. My toiletwas filthy, no one helped clean my room. They treated ny support person, my mother horribly. Like an unpaid intern. I wanted to enjoy the birth of my first but it has scarred me for life. IF YOU ARE A SINGLE MOTHER DO NOT COME HERE THEY WILL JUDGE YOU. Every staff member has their own facts and each story changes. No one knows what they are doing. I was treated like i have no insurance. I have 3 insurances. When i was discharged the CNA i was sent literally pushed me out of the wheelchair holding my son AND MY CANE and told me I HAVE OTHER PEOPLE TO DISCHARGE. Totally rude and unhelpful all the way around They will also try to starve you if you have gestational diabetes. No one there is even educated kn gestational diabetes. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE. I regret this experience so much."
