"Came here post bike ride for a re-fuel. It was the right choice. Yummy fermented vegan food. Tasted and felt and good. Had the kombucha and Kefir sampler! The boneless broth was warm and nutritious after a cold, wet bike ride. Plus took some broth to go for later and was delicious reheated the next day. Recommend the fries and burger as well!"
"We enjoyed the beet reuben, the fermenter burger, and fries. I also had an excellent apple kefir drink, and my husband had a beer. We sat in the cozy patio next to a heater with our dog on a chilly evening, so the heater was nice. The food was very good and unique, and I loved the kefir. You order at the counter inside, you get a number, and then they bring you your food. It was very busy when we were there, but they were pretty fast with getting our food to us."
"This place has been on my “to visit” list for a while and it did not disappoint. Everything we had was great (reuben, pickle soup, loaded fries, kale salad, braised beans, tea, kombucha). In particular, the beet reuben changed my life because it was the first time i have truly loved beets because of the artful way they were fermented with love. Also who knew sauerkraut is the perfect complement to kale!? The staff were super helpful and friendly and also helped me recover my forgotten bag. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes."
"Cool cafe feel with a great vegan menu. The dishes are delightfully delicious and very filling. Would have loved more fermented items! But maybe I have to go back and explore more. Arrived around 5:30 on a Wednesday evening and was pleased to see the place fill up steadily over the next hour. Staff are great, atmosphere is lovely."
"Such an interesting concept for a restaurant. All dishes are made from fermented foods! I was super excited to try this place but alas! The food was a big disappointment. I ordered the fermenter burger with tempeh bacon and honestly, it was one of the worst vegan burgers I have ever tried. The millet and black lentil tempeh patty was insufferable, chewy and a useless exercise for my jaws and teeth. While the burger started with tasting decent, by the end of it I was having a hard time even finishing it because of the undercooked/chewy millets and black lentils. I couldn't even taste the tempeh bacon and had to ask one of the servers whether they had forgotten to put the tempeh bacon in my burger. They asked me to open my burger and then rudely remarked "oh yes! This surely has bacon" and left. The water based kefir was the only saving grace of the whole meal. Would definitely recommend the fermented drinks from here. Edit: the owner responded to my review and actually refunded me for the food. A kind gesture. He said there were some issues they were having that week with the tempeh burger and I was an unlucky victim."
