"I got an older lady wearing a cross necklace for my mammogram, I can't remember her name, she was very nice. I thought to myself, wow she should be really good because she's probably been doing it a long time, fail. I am a mammographer also, and this was absolutely the worst mammogram I've ever had, she would not stop compressing even after I said that's enough, she just kept cranking. I understand that mammograms need a certain amount of compression to obtain a good image, spreading out dense, overlying tissue etc. I also have implants and therefore do not want them damaged, in addition to the fact that I don't appreciate the unnecessary pain. Legacy radiologist was all smiles, but condescending. Tells me to come back if I feel a lump, as if breast cancer cannot come in other forms that you cannot feel by a lump, until it is quite large, especially if it's deep within a large breast or hidden behind an implant. IDC, calcifications is an example of breast cancer only presenting as calcifications initially. I asked if the pain could be coming from the oil cyst that had been seen on my previous mammogram and or had it been reabsorbed, in which she did not answer other than to say that it is "just so small" as if that doesn't mean I can't feel it. Are you kidding me?? Sorry that I know my body better than you do and thanks for not listening (sarcasm). I would definitely not recommend this "breast center" to anybody. This is why people don't want to have a mammogram. There's a fine line between obtaining a quality image and torturing a patient, please learn from your mistakes."
"Every person I encountered was kind, compassionate and so helpful. They took their time, explained everything and worked quickly. Fantastic group of people."
"A routine biopsy gone bad. Did not feel great confidence at the start and probably shouldn't have proceeded. A very unpleasant experience. If ever you feel uncomfortable, follow your intuition and reschedule or try a different place or doctor. I will try a that next time."
"A LOT better than Peace Health. No BS about not having staff to get the appointment done. Very professional, nice waiting area and person at the reception desk was evenp nice. Will be using Legacy from now on....5 Star PLUS."
