"Dr. Berinstein is a really amazing doctor. First time I saw him, DR. Berinstein correctly diagnosed with walking pneumonia and gave me the correct medicine for treatment. This was after visits to 3 different doctors over 1 1/2 months and X-rays. With the right medication and diagnosis, I felt better within days. Second time I saw him was after I went to an allergy center and felt like a dollar sign and a guinea pig. Dr. Berinstein listened to my concerns, addressed my questions, verified the test I needed was covered by insurance and made sure the medication he prescribed me was affordable. With the treatment plan, he gave me choices and his staff called my insurance to find out how much my treatment plan would cost me out of pocket before we settled on the treatment path. I highly recommend this office. Dr. Berinstein is a life saver."
"Not a great experience. Seemed solely focused on $, not the patient. Ended up overpaying and still trying to get my money back. Office staff didn’t help with billing, telling me it’s handled off site and to call for help. Lots of back and forth with office and insurance company. Find another place for your ENT needs. Follow-up on original review 1/2/2024. Doctor reached out to me via email and explained why they have the policies in place. Although I don’t fully agree I did appreciate him reaching out. Ultimately they did pay me back the overage I was charged, just took some back and forth. I added a rating star for his correspondence."
"Front desk employees need extensive training how to communicate with patients! The girl who checked me out got very upset that I asked why they charge me for the new patient appointment $300+ instead of $200+ ( don’t remember exact number). In their price list clearly says: -New patient appointment ( 0-44 minutes) - $200 something ( it includes 20% off if you pay cash) -New patient appointment ( 44+ minutes) -$300 something with 20% for paying cash. My appointment was 25 minutes including waiting time, all together. She couldn’t answer and called Manager… Manager just told me this is what doctor decided to charge me. What does it mean? There is a price list! Manager was kind of rude and it was obviously she didn’t care. Plus test with a camera which lasts 20 seconds! Total bill $797 ( cash payment including 20% off for paying cash). Be careful before scheduling appointments at that facility!"
"Recently I had septoplasty performed by Dr Bernstein. I am very pleased with the outcome as well as the personal care he demonstrated. I have to add I was impressed by how personable Dr Bernstein was. I had a follow appointment with him almost two years after my first visit and he remembered so much about the initial visit; including a conversation we had not related to my medical care. At the last appointment he walked into the room with a hilarious comment as his greeting."
"I think Dr. Bloom is a very personable doctor, who seemed genuinely caring about my husband's abrupt hearing loss. I really liked him. However, my 2 stars are for the staff. I feel that some of the personnel lack patient service skills, friendliness, and efficiency. When we first arrived, the young lady never looked up and asked for my husband's drivers license and insurance card...as he was removing them from his wallet. When Dr. Bloom ordered an MRI, they got it authorized, but sent the order to a facility that is not contracted with our insurance. Luckily, I discovered that before we had the procedure done. Also, I called and requested a medication for anxiety as my husband is claustrophobic called in to Walgreens. That never happened. Finally, when the MRI was completed, I called to find out the results, which they were unable to give us, as Dr. Bloom was out for the holiday week. I got that, but I wanted to schedule an appointment, and she said someone would call me back. Very frustrated with their staff, and I will let them know."
