Reviews
"I see so many mixed reviews for this escape room. I for one really enjoyed the puzzles in the wizard room, with the exception of one that seemed to not quite work properly. It didn’t bother us too much but could have saved our group a few minutes. Miss Sam was our game master and she was really good at making gentle suggestions when we checked in with her. She also gave us time updates! After going to a few escape rooms, this was our favorite so far! We plan to try another room soon!"
"We will not be back. Two stars for the puzzle itself, the rest of the experience honestly sucked. In fairness, I'll preface this by saying our group arrived "late" because a 7pm start means be there at 6:45pm apparently. A tired employee explained the rules to us in a monotone voice, then left us alone. I wasn't expecting a professional actor but even a tiny amount of enthusiasm would have been nice. We got ~90% of the room finished and checked the clock to see we had about 20 minutes left. No problem. To our surprise, a minute or two later an employee burst in to tell us we were done and out of time because our time started at 6:45 and not 7 like we thought. They gave no warning, did not offer hints, just ended the game and told us to leave. Literally EVERY other Escape Room I've tried gave a 10-15 minute warning. This put a huge damper on the whole experience, and when we expressed that to the employees they didn't give a hoot and were sassy back. If you needed us there by 6:45 then that should have been the booked time. If you wanted us to enjoy the experience, you should have been good hosts. Escape Room hosting is an entertainment job. Hire people who like to entertain and replace these employees who couldn't even feign a smile. If you think I'm just being entitled, check out my review for the other Quest Factor location."
"We were excited to do the wizardry room and came in full HP garb. The game master didn’t comment. This lack of enthusiasm and energy was present throughout the experience. We have done many escape rooms and the game master matters! When they are excited and in character the game experience is so much better! Also, would recommend you time yourselves. No countdown in the room and having one would have made us ask for more clues! The theme and effects inside the game were fun. Would have appreciated a game master that paid attention and suggested when we might need a hint!"
"07/15/23: the experience was fine but not up to my expectations. It was located inside a closed building and you have to use the call box to get buzzed in. Then, you take the elevator down to the basement and you are there. The Game Master was fine but I felt like the puzzles were not challenging compared to the Puzzle Break escape room. I would suggest the Puzzle Break instead of Quest Factor"
