"So the first time I go to soy grill it's at mall 205. Now I am disabled I just recently got to where I can walk without the help of a walker I am still rickety as heck with my cane so I plan out my trips when I get out of the car. Would that in mind I pulled up in front of the restaurant I called them up and I put in my order for one order of yakisoba noodles with pork now she repeated it all back to me everything was going well I said no that would be fine. I sat outside for 20 minutes think about thinking that was long enough for them to prepare the food. I went inside walked up to the counter and I asked her for my order and told him my name was Don the name on the order. Now this sounded a lot like the gal that was on the phone that took my order. But I had no way to prove that. After walking and back and then coming back out front she asked me what would you like to order after we already been over all that I said what are you talking about I want my order she acted like she had no idea and that there is no order in the back so I spent about 2 minutes on the phone with somebody who acknowledged and repeated what I said and then waited patiently for 20 minutes to go inside and get my food just to find out that some person that check my order didn't actually get turned in. It was quite a while before I actually stopped to order for this place and I was really hungry. I doubt I'll come back here because I really hold it against anybody that causes that much hassle in somebody's life and is unapologetic. So I'm going to leave the judgment up to you guy's."
"This is probably my favorite teriyaki in Portland. It is consistently good. What sets it apart for me is their salad dressing which is a little sweet yet tangy and it pairs perfectly with the teriyaki sauce and chicken - I put the dressing over everything!"
"We ordered a Teri chicken and shrimp tempura plate, my kids really enjoyed it. Good portion size."
"Been here several times and it is always hot, fresh, and delicious. They take great pride in their work and it shows! I get the teriyaki chicken with fried rice and don’t forget the teriyaki sauce if you get it to go!!! Staff is always friendly and they have a clean bathroom for customers. Will definitely be back again :-)"
"Got the Spare Rib and Salmon Teriyaki. The ribs were under cooked. There is clear pink in them. Chewy. Not good quality at all. The salmon issue, is that you could taste that it had sat out for a long time in the temperature danger zone. It has gone bad. It had been frozen and maybe sat out to thaw too long on the counter thus giving the salmon a bad taste. It tastes old and I consumed 2 bites. My husband ate 2 of the spare ribs. That was enough to conclude that the food was not good. I then called the restaurant back to communicate my issue. The owner claimed to get the salmon fresh from Costco. But it definitely has been frozen before, if that is the case. There is a difference in the taste when this happens. I called the restaurant to ask for my money back. She refused to refund me for food even though I told her I will not be eating it due to the fact the food was not edible. I said I could bring all the food back and then could I get a refund. She said no. The owner claimed that she made no mistake and that is how their food is always prepared. She said, she had not received any complaints before so she could not understand how the food that she cooked could have an sort of issue. She said this was not a valid complaint so not a valid reason for a refund. This way of thinking is egotistical, unprofessional, as well as flawed. I, the customer, told you my food was terrible. That in it self should be an issue. My husband is a chef and has cooked spare ribs many times as well as salmon. I understand the working of these items as well. She asked if I had eaten these items prior in my life before. The answer is yes. As a food service worker married to a chef, yes I do understand. I understand that if that is the case then their food is just not good. Which is fine. What is not fine is the hanging up on customers as an owner because you feel you made no mistake and refuse to give me my money back for food I threw straight in the trash. You hang up instead of making this situation right. That is not acceptable. She is completely lacking in customer service skills. 1 star for food quality and atrocious ownership."
