Reviews
"Very cool warehouse-like space with both table and bar seating. I felt like we ordered ~70% of items on the menu to share between three people and it was very affordable. I would recommend the kanpachi, wagyu tartare, karaage, and any of the nigiri + sashimi."
"Hot off the press - the duck Shoyu here is fire. The duck is very tender/fatty and the broth is incredibly flavorful. No other comments about this dish. The apps included chicken karaage which we always get at ramen shops and I’d say this karaage was top 5. The sushi roll was also legit. The ambience speaks for itself in the pics. 10/10. Oh, and I enjoyed the highball."
"The flavors of the drinks and the food were very on point. Atmosphere and service was also good. 3 stars because it just feels a little overpriced for what you get. The ramen bowls feel slightly empty, and when the menu says egg, it’s only half. We got the sake roll, which had 6 pieces. The salmon was fresh and delicious, but again just felt slightly small portion-wise. Back to the ramen, it does leave you feeling hungry after finishing. There just doesn’t feel like enough. We would come back for the drinks- They were very good and refreshing."
"I'm a few weeks late on this review. Dined at Afuri in December, with a friend. I believe my Ramen was the Tonkotsu Tantanmen. It was a soothing broth... I had just gotten well from being under the weather, and this was just what I needed. It was delicious. Tried my best not to slurp! We both opted for Ramen and sushi. It was overall pleasant. The food is an experience. The service was fine. Not super attentive but friendly. I also ordered chamomile tea and it was a perfect brew. Highly recommended. I'll be back soon."
"It was busy when we got there but if you dint care about sitting at the bar it’s relatively quick. Had to try it after we were told the water in Portland is similar to that of Japan’s when it comes to PH levels which makes the Ramen taste very authentic. Not sure of the names of what we got."
