"Use to be a nice place to just relax but not no more so many tents and people all over not a safe feeling"
"This park used to be so beautiful and peaceful to stroll through with my children and my dog, but now it is overrun by homeless and drug addicts. Aggressive behavior and trashed with needles, weathered fabrics, and trash every direction. I can no longer recommend this park as long as the city ignores this homeless camp."
"Until recently it was a good park. However it's gone downhill, would not recommend bringing children or pets here. High drug activity, paraphernalia everywhere. I only say this in hopes to keep some kids from picking up something dangerous."
"While the park is nice and peaceful I would enjoy it more if 4PA wasn't close to attacking and harassing homeless people in an attempt to clean up. Disgusting behavior treating people in need instead of providing assistance. I do realize though that many Port Angeles residents who never have gone hungry once in their life would be fine beating them out of the park with their bare hands before returning to their own homes to have a warm meal."
"It's a great little park to look up into the trees, just not for too long. The city has decided to ignore the abuse of the park by our local squatters and addicts. Trees that used to hide kids playing games now hide the occasional needle, bag of trash, or maybe human waste. It would be nice if as a town we took care and pride to protect the tiny pockets of nature that our taxes support. Lack of street camping enforcement has resulted in a regular presence of trashed junk cars and trailer campers around the borders of the park. The community and the families that pay for and need the local outdoor amenities get to suffer for having a public park nearby. 11/22 Updated ... I still wouldn't want my child to walk through this park alone, and the since the city refuses to police camping and littering it is just another problem spot. The City of Port Angeles seems destine to pander to vagrants over providing safe clean green spaces for its tax paying residents."
