"It's a pretty safe place. Most of the time."
"They let one of their wood chip piles catch on fire and left us choking. WHY? THIS IS NOT A WILDFIRE BUT ALL OF CLARK CO WA AND ALL OF THE NORTH WILLAMETTE VALLEY ARE ENJOYING MAJOR UNHEALTHE AIR BECAUSE YOU CANT PATROL YOUR OWN LAND."
"Main truck entrance is on Industrial way and intersection of Washington way. On LHS of industrial. Check in at lane closest to guard shack. If first time go watch video. Then drive forward past two bldgs on left. Turn left into staging area check in at lumber office."
"I'm going to again protest the fact that you will not let my street-legal motorcycle drive down a gravel path on your roads, even if I purchase a $300 permit. It's ridiculous that you're not letting, street legal motorcycles, go out and explore and see the natural beauty that is in this area. I will continue to press the issue because I should not be discriminated against because I have a two wheeled vehicle, 4wd pickups have much more potential to cause damage than a 300 lb motorcycle. Yes I call it discriminatory."
"These are real things that I thought up out of my own mind! I'm not hot-doggin' ya! I have worked for this company for over forty years and I am happy--happy I tell ya!--to work for a company that cares so much about my health and spiritual well-being. Every morning I merrily skip to work in eager anticipation of the happy times to be had. We start each day with inspirational quotes and poetry readings and more! (So much more!) After a nutritious lunch (the company encourages healthy eating habits) we often perform skits or break into an interpretive dance to highlight our safe work practices. Then it's back to making lumber which is something we love even more (so much more) than life itself! I'm convinced that there are healing crystals embedded in the lunchroom chairs (or else I sat on a thumbtack!) because after break I always feel refreshed, invigorated, and eager for more satisfying and life-affirming work. And the people that I work with are all good people--so good. We laugh and sing, we tell jokes and stories, or sometimes we just sit quietly and stare into each other's eyes knowing that we all share a deep, abiding love for one another, and not a nasty, creepy kind of love, but a clean, wholesome kind of love. Like in the dictionary."
