"A very convenient store for UW students on a dining plan, but for anyone else, not so much. Items are greatly overpriced. For example, a box of “regular” sized cheerios runs around $7-8, whereas other stores (further up the ave) charge much lower prices. The line around noon can get quite long, but it moves relatively quickly. In addition, the store has a small coffee shop, the Husky Grind, which has a lot of vegan friendly options. The thing is, the vegan options arent very clearly labeled, so to the average consumer, you could be scammed into buying a sandwich thats SEEMS normal, but is actually vegan (see attached picture). The workers are relatively friendly and the store is well organized. However, the security guard (tall white man) will glare at you and potentially follow you around the store if you’re anything other than a white individual."
"Super convenient for anyone on west campus, and they usually have everything I need. Just a little overpriced."
"The employees were extremely helpful. This market is run by the University of Washington and is ridiculously overpriced. It is conveniently located near the campus. If you need something in a pinch, this would be okay. They have ready made items, limited canned goods, basic cleaning supplies and pharmacy items. The only reason we shopped here was to use up funds on my daughter's dining account. However, the employees went out of their way to be helpful. They are amazing people!"
"Cashless store, clean building, wonderful staff, it's just incredibly high priced for items you'd find at a grocery store, including their own deli/hot food kitchen. Since there aren't a lot of options on this side of the campus, it feels like they're taking advantage of students' limited grocery options."
"Good little grocery store if you're in the area looking for standard produce or more popular brands of food. Not a huge selection of most things, but good given the size of the store. They normally have a section of fresh food that you can order to go, and are linked to a small coffee shop. Prices are decent but probably not as competitive as larger stores."
