"Well, I’ve finally made a decision to never shop at Dunn Lumber again. Mike Dunn himself says he’s committed to contractors. However, he is setting some prices that are so gouging and offensive. I don’t mind driving 15-20 minutes over to Home Depot to save $10 or $14 on one 13 inch large tube caulking gun. I had another $85 worth of hardware that was only 30% more than Home Depot. But principles or principles and I’ve had an issue with the Lynnwood store multiple times. I spoke with Noah the young manager there and he said there’s no price matching. There’s nothing they could do. That is a bunch of hooey. There’s always this thing called customer service customer satisfaction something. That’s OK it’s been kind of a dumb with this store for a long time. I’ve grown up shopping there with my uncles in Ballard and then shoreline. I’ve had a lot of issues with customer service at the Lynnwood store and today’s the day where I’ll buy from Amazon Lowes or Home Depot never step foot in Dunn Lumber again, and let my friends and my fellow contractors know they don’t do much to take care of their contractors and they could care less And go ahead and gouge on a cheap tool where they’ve marked it up six times the value of their purchase. Anyways I ranted on there’s my soapbox. I’ll keep my money Mike done and I’m hearing this more often from other contractors but I guess you’re the boss and you’ve made these policies, so there you go ."
"Figured I'd try it out. It's just overall worse than places like home depot. Felt rushed through by the sales rep. (Nice guy, but you could tell he was trying to get the sale over with and pushed me to move faster than I wanted to.) The wood I got was worse quality with bends for more than twice the price of Home Depot... They loaded my wood for me, but that's not worth the rushing, price and quality hit. Not a shopping experience I want to repeat."
"Over the years, we've utilized Dunn Lumber for many projects -- most recently to purchase composite decking. They always have a quality materials and their team couldn't be more friendly and resourceful. This time, I wanted to tackle a picture frame moulding project in our living room -- 100% on my own with no help from my husband (which he was probably grateful for). I first checked with the big box stores and didn't have any luck finding the moulding I was looking for. I decided to see what Dunn Lumber had and not only found exactly what I wanted, but at a great price. Add to that, I was able to pay a little extra for their help cutting several 8 and 12 ft pieces down to the sizes I needed. This saved me a TON of time. I also picked up all of the essentials (small hand saw, miter box, caulking, etc.) which only left me needing paint which I already had. I'm really pleased with how everything turned out and am so thankful to the Dunn team for making it as easy and convenient as possible."
"I have designed and built a lot of decks in the area. Dunn helps with my take off for materials. They deliver as well. If there something I need and not in stock. Then they get it. Thanks Guy's"
