"If it weren't for their prices, this grocery store would be a 5/5. Compared to other New Seasons around the city, this is a little on the grungier side, but I don't mind it. I don't need my local grocery store to have the lighting of an art gallery. Their produce section is pretty good (although they didn't have any black truffles this year... maybe due to the self checkout?) , meat counter is always friendly, and of course, the hot bar/deli items are fire (albeit expensive as all hell). This isn't a safeway, so be prepared to not see a lot of non-traditional/bougie items. As an example, family was in town and we wanted to make S'mores, but the only graham crackers they sold were maybe 3/8 of an inch thik, and not crispy/crunch at all. Is what it is- know that you might hve to adjust on the fly. Glad to have them in my area so that I can pick up a few items or a bottle of wine when I am in a pinch, but we do all of our major grocery shopping elsewhere, to get better prices. Also, expect to be hit up by houseless/charity workers/etc on your way in, and probably on your way out. The Ducks fan who sells street roots at the exit is a member of the neighborhood and always puts on a friendly face for passers-by, so consider buying a street roots from him. The rest of them... eh... use your best judgement."
"Were it not for the wonderful employees at the checkout I would give 1 star. I am just struggling to be a patron at any New Seasons. The pricing on the goods is outrageous. I’m well versed in pricing and this store is neck and neck with Market of Choice and Zupans for the most absurdly overpriced inventory in the Portland metro. In addition, the quality of the in house made goods has fallen so low that I no longer buy several items that I had relied on for years and years (before New Seasons was acquired by Good Food Holdings). Sad to see."
"Your staff is great. Your prices are just way out of control. I hear you you pay your employees well, and I’m grateful for that, for them . But I am not the only one talking about how your prices have gotten ridiculous Or too high for some of us to really afford. Many are turning back to Whole Foods and I’m just letting you know that. You’re going to lose customers you already are.im one of them. Not saying, I won’t ever come there because you’re very close to me, but I have been forced to take a drive elsewhere due to finances. Dam"
"I’m giving them 4 stars because of how expensive they are. That being said, they pay their employees a living wage as well as benefits, so that says a lot. The selection of beauty products, local produce and bakery items and the large selection of local coffee roasters keeps me coming back! I really love the kitchen/housewares section for gifts. They have a great selection of super cute and unique items, they are just $$$. I like that they have a decent flower/plant selection as well. The hot bar, in my opinion could use some work and the deli items are not my favorite but I do enjoy the hot roasted chickens for a quick, easy dinner main. Staff are usually very nice and helpful. They no longer have an express lane, however, they have changed to self checkouts (4 kiosks I believe)."
"A nice place to get some unique stuff.. Big diverse in products. Many beautiful handmade items.. The price is very high"
