Safeway

"Everytime I come into this particular Safeway I am constantly accosted, and harassed throughout the store. The rude customer service and loss prevention department are absolutely insane with their tactics and deciding who to target. On one particular incident I was harassed and I asked "do you just wake up in the morning and chose to racially profile?" They couldn't even look me in the eye as they laughed. I travel all over the Pacific Northwest for work and primarily use Safeway for my basic consumer needs and they have decent deli for lunch. I will no longer be going to any Safeway until they install security like Fred Myers to avoid the annoyance and humiliation of being harassed while I shop for myself and my family."

"Always been my favorite grocery store to shop at. Used to be Fred Meyers. Freddy's is more of a premium grocery store with specialty foods and higher prices it seemed. Safeway is a good value, good layout, fresh produce, and always good service"

"It's Thanksgiving day and I was on break looking for some quick food to eat. Went to the deli at 2:00 no chicken was fresh only two very old dark thighs. Safeway is usually a great place for fresh chicken. Guy behind the deli told me that they were closing the deli at 3 and that the chicken would take 20 minutes to make and I want going to happen. I said well that would be 2:20 and you would still have 40 minutes left can I have some food please. He said not going to happen. Wish there was a manager to talk to but don't really have time for this. Guess I'll eat tonight when I get home from work. Won't be coming back here. Thanks again.....m"

"I have been a customer at this location for over 20 years, and have seen a many people come and go. I just want to try and understand why it was so difficult to fill a cream RX when it was completely dead, and told they can try to fill it , but told they close at 8 not 9 like other locations. I don't expect special treatment , but how hard would it have been to take 5 more minutes to fill something that was very important to start according to my Dr. I was told to come back in the morning and the windows were closing . Jeff would have never done that. If people are going to mistreat and act as if the customer is not important maybe its time to move on else where. I know I am just another customer , and the staff wanted to go home, but being a retired nurse I could never treat others the way I was that evening, and maybe people shouldn't work afternoon shift if its that hard to at least fake a smile, and try to have some more grace , and compassion for people just coming from the ER or urgent care...I'm pretty sure working 2 mins past 8 wouldn't have been an issue......just done"

"Store is clean. Well organized, staffed well, and staff is friendly. Shelves looks great, fresh produce. Floral shop with plants and fresh flowers. Pharmacy and nice vitamin aisle. Self check out option."
