"absolutely perfect Northern Chinese food from a bright and sweet person. The xian’rbing is tender and crispy and perfectly flavorful."
"This is the only place in Portland where I have found xian bing (馅饼) - basically a traditional northern Chinese empanada. These take a lot of time and effort to make. Great Tang’s xian bing are delicious and authentic. The owner shared that she used to sell many every Saturday at the PSU market but they don’t sell as well at her cart - only her Chinese customers seem to know what they are. I’m trying to get the word out so all of her effort making these delicious pockets of goodness wasn’t for naught."
"As part of the rebirth of the Midtown Beer Garden (previously the "5th & Stark food trucks"), this is a great new entry. They are selling many of the offerings from PSU Saturday Farmers Market alongside a pictured menu of varied options. Today I had a cold noodle salad that really hit the spot. I think they are missing a little extra revenue by limiting beverages here to only boba tea and schisandra berry tea. However the pod has other vendors for soda and water (please pay with cash) or the spiffy beer brewery and full bar at the center."
"So excited to see this authentic northern Chinese food cart joined the newly opened Fifth Ave pod! She is the same friendly owner from the food cart at the Sat PSU farmer’s market. We tried some Chinese style hamburger (馅饼) and freshly made cucumber (拍黄瓜), all delicious, goes so well with the beer. Must try!!"
"Ordered the Vegetable Yakisoba Noodles with a chicken skewer for $15. She tossed some old noodles in a box then microwaved it, and handed me the box and a skewer. It looked nothing like the photo on the menu. No fresh vegetables, dry and chewy. The skewer was also dry and not very tasty. It was late in the day, so perhaps I just got the day’s leftovers. Biggest disappointment in a meal. I will not go back."
