"Friendly counter service. Nice young guy. Preferred the conchita pibil. Most of their menu has photos. The photo of my order looked exactly like the meal I was given. Excellent broth, juicy fall apart pork chunks. The onion and cabbage on top kinda cooked in the broth. Great tortillas. Atmosphere is …you know. Counter service on 82nd Ave. It was clean! I dined in. It was also a comfortable temperature inside."
"I was born in Merida, Yucatan and grew up with many amazing food flavors. Living in AZ is extremely rare to find any Yucatecan cuisine. So, while visiting Portland I was excited to try this restaurant. My hopes were high from all the reviews I read. I ordered two Panuchos and two Salbutes. Presentation was good even though I’ve never seen them served with Jalapenos. The Habanero sauce was very tame, barely any spiciness to it. The Salbut tortilla looked more like a little tortilla bowl. The tortilla for both the Panucho and Salbut were cold and the chicken was even colder than the Coca-Cola I was drinking! For the wait of almost 25min I was not expecting my food to be this cold. It seems as if they got the chicken out of the fridge and put it on the tortilla. I know some of the ingredients have to be kept refrigerated, but they should have at least been reheated before serving them. Outside of Yucatan the best Yucatecan food I’ve tasted have been in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, Ki'ikibáa falls short on the flavor by far."
"Amazing food! This place was my favorite when they were angels food and fun. We were so happy to hear they have returned to the place we call home."
"Love this place. Paid them a visit on a Friday afternoon. From the moment I walked in the energy felt just right. The bright colors and decor reminded me of my many trips to Yucatán. It is counter service and they give you a number once you order. Plenty of places to sit if it is not to busy. The service was great. They ran out of the pozole and tamales which was what we initially wanted to order but were provided plenty of other recommendations on what to order. I ordered tacos de pollo, carne asada and pork. They were very delicious. From the handmade tortillas to the spicy salsa everything hit the spot. Very clean food and not greasy one bit which is definitely one of my pet peeves. Also ordered a panucho de pollo which was fantastic. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back soon."
"So excited to have chef Manny and the crew back at it! I’ve been here twice and can’t wait to return and continue working my way through the menu. Order anything, it will not disappoint. Be sure to check the counter for the current special menu item. On my recent visit there was a fresh batch of Relleno Negro so that was an immediate yes. It was deeply flavorful and satisfying, not to mention visually stunning. There is lots of indoor seating and the decor inside is colorful and cheerful. Great music too! Plenty of parking available."
