"I usually don't leave bad reviews but this time I felt the need to. I took my car in to get a new radiator and valve cover gaskets, (not a big job at all) they told me it should take a couple days at most. That couple days turned into almost two months in which I would periodically call in to get an update (of course they kept giving me a new excuse everytime). After I finally get my car back, I drive it 30 mins and it starts overheating. Needless to say I will never deal with this P.O.S shop again in my life. to everyone reading this.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED."
"Had my car towed here at the recommendation of my AAA tow driver. They answer their phone maybe a 1/4th of the time you call and wanted to charge me $510 for a tune up another shop quoted me at $170. The lady on the phone is extremely rude and had to pry for any information at all the two days my car was there. Additionally, it took two days for them to even let me know that. Iβm now out for paying two rows and $100 for diagnostic in my β95 astrovan (most basic car to fix).. highly do not recommend."
"I am so happy I brought my car here. I couldn't start my car on Thursday so I called AAA. The man who came to look at my car said the battery was in such bad condition that he wouldn't touch it. When the tow truck arrived, I had a place in mind but they wouldn't be able to look at my car until Tuesday. The driver recommended A1, made a call and said they could get to it that day. When I arrived, they looked at my car and had it fixed within 15 minutes. He was able to fix my battery without me having to purchase new parts! They even topped off my windshield fluid and oil. They were AMAZING and save me so much money! The man who helped me said he has worked there for the last 8 years, 6 days a week and has never missed a day. I thought I was going to be without my car for over 4 days and they were able to get me in and out in less than 30 minutes. This is definitely going to be my new place!"
"I never would have thought I'd find a place to take my car in on the same day and get it back. The mechanic and front desk lady were very nice and helpful and saved me a ton of money. The mechanic said I really only needed back pads, I know if I went to any of the bigger places they would have tried to sell me breaks and rotors for both the front and back, which costs a small fortune with my make/model of car. I will definitely be bringing my car back for any future maintenance."
"After my experience with this shop, I would not recommend it to anyone. I asked them to look into the shaking of my steering wheel while braking. They told me that I needed to replace a wheel bearing and two axle shafts for $800, and furthermore that I should replace my tires because the tires had caused the wear on these parts. The description of the problem didn't seem to match what I had experienced driving, and the part about the tires didn't seem right to me, so I called around for advice, and gathered enough information that I decided I needed a second opinion. I took my car to a strongly reputable, albeit more expensive shop, and they said my brake rotors were warped. They resurfaced them for $150. The problem was solved in the steering wheel. But I wanted to double check and make sure the bearings were OK--I'm cautious like that. I jacked up the car and did the old fashioned bearing check--pull on the tires. They didn't budge. So the initial diagnosis from A1 not only did not solve the problem I brought the car in for--it was also incorrect. (Bearings are fine.) Maybe A1 didn't understand the problem I described, maybe they did not do a thorough check, maybe they did not have the experience to correctly identify the problem, maybe they purposefully tried to gouge me for unnecessary repairs. It really doesn't matter whether this happened through dishonesty or incompetence--either way, they would have charged me $800 + new tires and not even fixed the problem. Unfortunately, A1 seems to be an untrustworthy shop."
