"Wonderful from start to finish.. had Roasted Brussels sprouts, side BBQ Pork Belly, Squid Ink Linguine, pasta Alla Chitarra Attendant was super helpful in making a decision with us being first Timers after all these years in Portland.... she was not wrong, Yummy! Must go back and try everything.... nomnom!"

"Grassa was flavorsome. I got the Pork Belly Mac-n-cheese and its unique but tasty combo. I enjoyed the slight sweet taste of the pork belly. It blends well with the Mac n cheese. I recommend an extra scoop of pork belly. We’ll also got an order of garlic bread, the order comes with two slices. It’s was crunchy, good and tasted like garlic bread. The other dish is spaghetti all chittara was surprisingly delectable. The whipped ricotta looks cool and it all mixes well. Im normally not a pasta fan but this place has me convinced. Haha. We went on a Saturday for dinner and it was BUSY!! Seating was pretty easy, you order first then look for available seat or they help you find a spot. If you don’t mind, There’s a bar off to the right when you walk in and can sit there. Parking was a pain, but that’s the area in general."

"Had such a great time at Grassa! Service was great and the cashier gave some good recommendations Everything my friends and I ordered: spaghetti al pesto, garlic bread, rigatoni, grassa meatballs, caesar salad, and non-alcoholic drinks. Everything was delicious and very fulfilling. I’m so happy they had non-alcoholic drinks! The only thing I would say is that the rigatoni could use a little bit more sauce, and it didn’t say on the menu if the garlic bread came with an marinara sauce of some kind because I didn’t get any. Or you had to pay it separately because my friend got some when she got her garlic bread"

"Was recommended to try this place, but the food quality could be better. The service was great, the server was able to make some recommendations about some pastas we can try and also were patient to give us time to make a decision. The way they serve is more like a cafeteria (you find your own seat and serve yourself water). I ordered the Pasta Alla Chitarra and my partner ordered the pork belly mac and cheese. The food came out looking really good for photos, but once we started eating, we felt quite sick after. The Pasta Alla Chitarra was really good for the first bite, but as you start eating a bit more, you’ll notice there’s a significant amount of oil in the food which is gross. My girlfriend loves mac and cheese, everywhere we go she always tries to order it, and when she had this one, she was quiet, and that’s when I knew, she wasn’t a fan of it. The pork belly was too oily and a lot of fat (more than expected), and they added a lot of syrup/caramelized it too much. The mac and cheese wasn’t savoury, and it was only sweet and she couldn’t really taste much of the cheese at all. The worst part was, we both got sick (food poisoning) right after this place (we haven’t had other meals the entire day other than this one) and since we live in Canada, it was a rough drive home. It’s tough that this place has a great vibe, atmosphere, and service but because of the food, I wouldn’t come back here again (unless you want good food pics, since their food presentation is good)."
